A precision air tech installing a new furnace in Corpus Christi

The right size furnace matters more than you think.

A heating system that is improperly sized, installed, and maintained may only survive 7 or 8 years, whereas one that is correctly sized, installed, and maintained can last twice that long.

Our HVAC specialists are experts in the installation of a variety of heating systems, central or wall-mounted. We will examine your needs and current system configuration to recommend the proper sized home furnace. We offer low-interest financing options if you need a little help.

We understand how costly and inconvenient it can be to upgrade or replace your heating system or furnace. Do you have ductwork? Can we reuse your air cleaner or humidifier? Does the exhaust vent of your old unit need to be sealed off or it is in good shape? Is the electrical safe?

Unless you are building a new space that needs heating, the majority of new heater installations are motivated by discoveries from a heating system that has failed. We always check the simplest things first rather than assuming the worst. Read our Google reviews.

Things to consider when replacing your heater:

1

What kind of system do you want to be installed/replaced?

There are many choices as to how you want to heat your home or business. Any make and model of heater, boiler, ductless heat, or furnace whether they are gas, electric, or geothermal, Green Heating, Cooling, and Electric can offer you multiple options based on your current system or new installation.

2

What is the size of your home or business?

If your heating system is too large for your home it will cycle on and off constantly, and if it is too small your home will never efficiently reach the heating temperature.

3

How is your attic insulation?

If your home’s insulation quality is poor, you can save money on your energy bills and be much more comfortable by upgrading your insulation. We offer substantial discounts when you have us insulate along with your new furnace installation.

Furnace Installation FAQs

When should I replace my furnace?

There are a number of factors that contribute to needing a furnace replacement. How old is your furnace? If it’s over 10 – 15 years old, it’s likely time for a replacement. Not only will this will improve your energy efficiency, but also how well it’s heating your home, how often it requires repairs, and how much it costs to heat your home.

How can I have lower home heating fuel prices?

With home heating fuel prices on the rise, many homeowners are concerned about their growing utility bills!

Heater maintenance One of the most important things you can do for your oil furnace is to have it serviced before the start of every heating season. Although this can’t lower home heating oil prices, it can improve the efficiency of your system and help lower your utility bills.

Install a Dual Fuel Heat Pump – If you’re looking for the biggest savings on heating your home, you should consider installing a dual-fuel heat pump unit to your oil furnace system. Heat pumps are some of the most efficient HVAC systems available today because they will do your cooling in the summer and provide very low cost heating in the winter.

Do I need to replace my boiler?

Here are some of the most common signs that it’s time to replace your boiler:

Insufficient heat – if your boiler is suddenly unable to produce sufficient heat to keep your home comfortable, it’s probably time to replace it.

Uneven temperatures – You may also notice that your boiler is unable to maintain consistent temperatures from one level of the home to the next—or even from one room to the next.

Strange noises – if there are strange noises coming from your radiator or boiler, call an HVAC professional to diagnose the problem and find the best way to solve it, whether it’s repair or replacement.

Age – most boilers last between 15 – 25 years, depending on the quality of their installation and the maintenance they received. Once your boiler gets in that range, it’s just naturally going to start to deteriorate.

What is the difference between a gas and oil boiler?

So now you’re wondering when you buy a new boiler, should you switch to natural gas or stick with your oil setup?

Gas boilers can be more affordable to operate, but there are also differences in utility line requirements and fuel storage (natural gas has no onsite storage needs).

Is your water heater also in need of a replacement? You may be interested in upgrading your electric water heater to a gas-fired version, which is more affordable to operate.

How does a heat pump work?

A heat pump works by transferring heat energy from one source to another. In the winter when your heat pump is acting as a heating system, it extracts heat energy from the outside air (even in near-freezing temperatures), and transfers it into the air in your home. When summertime rolls around, it’s as easy as flipping a switch to change your heat pump to cool mode.

Why are heat pumps more efficient?

Heat pumps are one of the most energy efficient HVAC systems available on the market because they don’t burn fuel to provide heat. In addition to their high efficiency, they can operate as both a heating and cooling system, thus reducing the number of systems that require maintenance, repairs, and replacements.

Plus, homeowners have the ability to control the thermostat remotely which enables homeowners to reduce their energy use, saving them money.
